Frequently Asked Questions
What is naturopathy?
Naturopathy is a distinct school of healing that employs Nature’s forces of proper diet, water, air, sunlight, earth power, electricity, magnetism, exercise, rest, various kinds of mechanical treatment, as well as mental and moral science.
How can naturopathic services benefit overall health?
The modalities employed when creating an individualized health plan are to define and remedy the root cause of disease in the body. The practice of treating the whole body and determining the originating cause of the ailment, symptom or diagnosis differs greatly from the approach of conventional medicine where only the symptom is treated, and often times never cured. My goal is for you to live a fulfilled life of optimal health rooted in pure nutrition and health, not to be reliant on a system that often times benefits from sickness.
Will insurance pay for your services?
Unfortunately, no, insurance does not cover services provided by an ND. However, if you have a current physician who is a part of your natural health goals, they may be able to order your preferred lab work and bill your insurance for the costs. Otherwise, all of my services and lab work are paid out of pocket. Costs of any lab work are paid directly from the patient to the independent lab (Lapcorp, Quest, etc) and are not included in the prices of my services.
